Hi....I too want to thank Louie's mom and everyone contributing on this forum for this cause! Our 6 year old Yorkie mix was just diagnosed with lymphangiectasia this Sat. As everyone knows..w have been on a whirlwind this entire week...from draining fluids, blood work and ultrasounds to come to the diagnosis. Mojo seems to be feeling better since he started the  steroids . I have been feeding him boiled chicken skinless chicken breast with rice and green beans and a few carrots. Has anyone elsehad success with this diet? The vet didn't really have suggestions. The mixture is 1 cup chicken, 2 cups rice, 1 cup green beans and half cup carrots. He weighs 14 lbs and is getting 2 1/2 cups a day. Please let me know if this sounds ok. Thanks so much!

Hi and welcome to you and Mojo! Sounds like you are on the right track, trying medications and different foods. We found success controlling the diarrhea with the rice, and instead of green beans and carrots, we use canned pumpkin (also good at stopping diarrhea). It seems each of us has to find just the right combination for our dogs, which is sort of like trying to find The Holy Grail, so diets will be different. My vet told me to add dehydrated milk powder and zero fat cottage cheese to Diva's diet, and it seems to be working quite well. This was from an established diet plan he had for CIL. Wishing you and Mojo well.
